Into the Mist
"Sometimes we need the mist to remind us that all of life is not black and white."
Weather report for the mountains: You'll find out when you get there.
I don't always climb for the view.
Don't get me wrong. A killer view can be amazing.
But there won't always be one; at least not the one you expected.
You can let that disappoint you, or it can be an opportunity to expand your 'why'. Maybe it's the feeling when your legs are burning, you give yourself permission to turn around, but instead you keep going. Maybe it's a tiny bird. Maybe it's a tree you see shining in the sunlight or the way the unexpected spring snow clings to moss. Maybe it's the sound of silence.
It doesn't matter what it is; the possibilities are infinite. There can be one, or many. It can be the same every day, or different each hour. It only matters that you find your 'why' and allow it to influence the way you live. Right now.
