The 24 Hour Adventure

Over the years of our friendship, Martha and I have perfected the art of what I like to call the "24 Hour Adventure". It's amazing the number of moments of awe you can experience in one 24-hour period when you say yes to an out of town overnight, including, but certainly not limited to: many, many baby birds, one curious caribou, the friendliest ground squirrels, a tiny cabin, one after-midnight sunset, a gigantic beaver dam, thousands of wildflowers, and... one epic thunder and lightning storm, hail included, that left us sopping wet and very grateful we weren't struck by lightning. Thankful for another safe and epic adventure in this beautiful place I get to call my home.
