In The Presence Of ‘The Great One’

It feels impossible to capture in photos the vastness of this untouched wilderness in which we were so privileged to spend the last five days. The magic of watching a grizzly charge a herd of caribou, the sensation of your feet sinking deep into the tundra with no trail to guide you, or the humbling feeling of putting your feet into the full force of glacial water is indescribable.

The measure of an experience is rarely just the experience itself, but also the way with which you carry it; the way it shapes and rewards you moving forward.

It might be harder than you expect. It's probably farther than you think to that next ridge. But just over that ridge ... it is ALWAYS worth the effort.

I stand in awe of the beauty of this place, the way we are small, the power we have, and the power we lack. May we all humble ourselves to know we are merely a thread in the fabric of the universe ... not the needle that stitches it together.
